Mega Nz Bandwidth hack

In this guide, you will learn methods to bypass the Mega.nz bandwidth transfer quota exceeded limit using various methods. By using these methods, you can download large files without the Bandwidth Transfer Quota Exceeded error on Mega.nz.

There’s nothing more frustrating than a download that stops at 90%. That’s even worse when the file size is big and you have limited internet access or if you’re using mobile data to download the file.

Methods to Fix Mega Transfer Quota Exceeded Error

Mega.nz is a very popular and secure file hosting site used by many developers on XDA and it has some limit for free users. So if there’s any file you want to download from Mega.nz, make sure you use following methods to fix mega’s “Bandwidth Quota Exceeded” error.

Method 1: Use MEGA Desktop App

Mega.nz provides a free Mega Desktop app to download and save files from the Mega.nz server. After login into the Mega Desktop app, you can exceed the Mega download limit of 4GB.

You can download the Mega Desktop app,

  • Turn on the ‘Transfer with MEGA Desktop App‘ toggle switch and then click Download
  • Click the ‘Download MEGA App‘ button. This will download the Mega Desktop app on your Windows, Mac or Linux PC. Install it and launch the app to download file
  • Now you can download unlimited files from MEGA without limit

Method 2: Use MEGA Downloader

Simply use the MEGA Downloader app (link below) to download the file. Most of the time it will start downloading right away! To do this,

  • Download, install and launch Mega Downloader
  • Copy the download link, the program will catch the Mega.nz link automatically and start downloading without asking for anything.

And it works with folder links as well!

Method 3: Use MEGA Download+ IDM

If you have experience with Mega Downloader, you can combine it with IDM to download files from Mega.nz faster and bypass the Bandwidth Transfer Quota limit.

Install both programs and follow these steps carefully.

  • First, install IDM. (if you already have it, skip this)
  • Open MEGA Downloader
  • Click the Configuration (gear symbol at the top-right)
  • Click the “Streaming” tab then check “Use streaming server” then save.
  • Click the “Streaming” tab again (not in configuration) then watch online.
  • Copy the link that you want to download from MEGA on your browser then paste it to the “MEGA URL link”.
  • The new link will appear, copy it.
  • Go back to IDM. Click “Add URL” then paste it then click OK.

Method 4: Use VPN to Fix MEGA Transfer Quota Limit

This is the easiest way but requires a VPN connection. I would never recommend a free VPN service but if you can’t spend, try UFO VPN. Here’s how it works,

  • Download the Mega.nz Downloader on your PC
  • Download, install and set up the VPN software on your PC
  • Connect to a VPN location and then run Mega Downloader
  • Start downloading the file, as soon as you reach the bandwidth quota, which is 4 GB, change the VPN location.
  • Repeat it until you download the complete file.

Wasn’t that super easy? But if you want to stay secure, get a premium subscription at Mega.nz or VPN. I personally use UFO VPN, and so recommended here.

Method 5: Use JDownloader To Fix MEGA Download Limit

If you don’t have IDM or using Mac or Linux machine, use JDownloader to bypass Mega.nz bandwidth transfer quota limit and download the file.

Here’s a step by step instruction you may follow,

  • Download and install JDownloader on your Mac, Windows, or Linux machine
  • Open the JDownloader app and add your Mega.nz account details
    • In Mac, click on the JDownloader button in the top left corner and select Preferences. Choose the ‘Connection Manager’
    • In Windows, go to Setting>Connection Manager
  • Open link grabber and keep it open
  • Now go Mega.nz file page that you want to download and Right-click>Get links>Copy or simply, copy link.
  • The link grabber will automatically add the downloads to the list
  • Then right-click in JDownloader and select download

Steps to Bypass Mega.nz Download Limit using JDownloader

JDownloader supports a proxy feature and thus, you can use it to fix the download limit by Mega and download unlimited files.

  • Import proxy to JDownloader
  • You can use free public proxies or go to @proxygo to get http proxies. Also, add as much supported proxy as possible from various sources. JDownloader supports http, Socks4, and Socks4 proxies
  • Convert the proxies into IP form, such as http://73.93.168.205:8080
  • After importing proxy,
    • In Mac, Go to Settings>General Settings and in Windows, Go to Settings and change
      • Max chunks per Download to ’15’
      • Max simultaneous Download to ‘4’.
  • Hit start and you are good to go. Also, remove the proxies which got red flags by JDownloader and

How to Download Folder Links and Avoid Mega.NZ Bandwidth Transfer Quota Exceeded Error

When you have a link to the folder, it will not work. You need individual file links! To get them,

  • Simply import the files to your own MEGA account
  • Then on your own account right-click the file and click the Get link -> link with a key.

And you are done. Now you can download files from MEGA.nz without any limits with a faster download speed by using a download manager, such IDM. I hope it helps.
