Fix TrackPad Gestures, Brightness and Power Management on MacOS 10.12.6 Hackintosh

UPDATE: Follow this Quick Fix for macOS  Trackpad Gestures to fix trackpad gestures in macOS Mojave and High Sierra.

Today via this post, I will show you how to fix WiFi, Trackpad, Brightness and Battery Power Management on your Hackintosh PC or Laptop. But first, you need to have active and working IntelHD or Nvidia Graphics acceleration. If not, I recommend you to watch my previous video tutorial where I showed how to activate full IntelHD graphics acceleration on any Hackintosh Laptop or PC including Latest Intel HD 600 Kaby Lake Series. So watch that video before you proceed with this one. Watch this video and Subscribe!

Fixing Common Issues with Hackintosh Sierra 10.12.6

So first, you must update your Sierra Hackintosh to the latest version which is the 10.12.6. If your system is running MacOS sierra 10.12.6 and IntelHD graphics acceleration is working, you can proceed with this tutorial, if not, please go ahead and watch my previous videos.

  • Next, download the Compressed folder. Extract it anywhere on your MacOS system.
  • Inside that folder, you will find EFI Mounter app, all kexts files, and Kext Utility. So what we are going to do is install these kexts. These kexts are customized and edited to work on most laptops and PCs.
  • Now go use EFI mounter app to mount the EFI partition of your MacOS disk. Open the EFI partition, go to EFI>Clover>Kexts>Other folder and copy paste the Kexts file here.
  • Next, open Kext Utility or any other Kext installer and Install all kexts from the folder you extracted.
  • If you are using Kext Utility, it will automatically Rebuild system cache. If you are using Kext Wizard, make sure to rebuild system cache.

Once it’s done. Close all apps and folders and simply Restart your System. If you see any error or kernel panic, please report me on the Techposts Facebook Fan page. Make sure you mentioned your System configuration and a screenshot of the error.

If everything works well, you will see that your system is now showing Battery Icon, Speaker in the notification bar. To check whether Trackpad is working or not, simply go to settings and click on Trackpad.

Fix WiFi in Hackintosh

For WiFi, you can use an external WiFi stick, like TP-Link 823N which I use, is available for as low as 10USD bucks or Rs.700 (INDIA | the US ) –  Or replace the stock WiFi card from your laptop and replace it with MacOS compatible WiFi card like Broadcom 94352.

Fix Brightness Issue with Hackintosh Sierra 10.12.6

To Fix Brightness control, open App Store and Install an App called Brightness Slider. Once installed, set it up by assigning keys which you can use to control brightness. Example, I used F7 and F8 to increase and decrease display brightness on my Hackintosh or simply click on the icon on the top and use slider to control brightness.

Conclusion

So from now, you have almost fully working Macbook clone like me. You can now use any MacOS app, including the Final Cut Pro X for video editing, Xcode for app development, or any app. If you having any issues or problem installing kext files or if your hardware still doesn’t work, please send me system configuration with screenshots of error.

For more support on MacOS for Pc, you can visit Insanely Mac or TonyMacx86 or osx86 like forums and ask for a solution. It’s not easy to make Mac OS work especially on laptops where we can’t play much with hardware coz nowadays everything comes on board.
