In this How to Guide, you’ll learn how you can Add Gestures to your Android’s Status Bar for performing different tasks. This is a NON ROOT method which means you don’t need root access to add this feature in your Android Device. There is an application which you can install from Google Play Store directly. The application is called Status Bar Pro – 3D Touch. After Installing the application, just Enable the Device administrator under “Security Settings” and you are good to go.
Create your own unique gestures to launch apps and perform tasks. Status Bar Pro provide many action when you touch on Status Bar (Notification Bar). Few examples are,
- Swipe Down
- Swipe Right
- Swipe Left
- Tap
- Double Tap
- Long Press
On Status Bar to:
- Expand Status Bar
- Turn off Screen
- Setting
- Back to home Screen
- Quickly Search Apps
- Quick Setting (You are provided with a quick setup panel can operate outside the lock screen to perform open off wifi, bluetooth, airplane mode, turn off, restart the device…)
- Show apps recent
- Launching apps
