In our previous tutorial, we showed you how to root your android device safely without using PC. But today, we are going to show you how to unroot your phone or tablet safely without using PC. It’s a safest universal one-click unroot method which means you don’t have to worry about data loss. So all of your apps and files on your device are safe.

Unlike many other tutorials on the web which suggests you go to the root directory of your device and then delete a bunch of files and all, is not only risky if you don’t know what you doing as it may permanently brick your device. So stay away from those unrooting methods. To help that, we are writing this post to show you one-click unroot method which works on any android device out there and it’s a very safe process to unroot.

No matter how you rooted your Android device, your device must have one of SuperSu or Kinguser or Superuser app installed on your Device. All of these apps acts similar as both of them are root manager apps.

For SuperSu Root manager App users

  • Now if you have SuperSu installed on your device, then simply open it up.
  • Then Go to “App settings” (at extreme right corner)
  • Next Scroll down until you see the “Clean Up” tab and under the Clean, Up tab, you will find a “Full unroot option”. So simply tap on that.

Important Note: Please read the disclaimer that pops up when you click on Unroot Option.  Note that some Android apps, ROMs and Kernel might refuse to unroot as they need root access to function properly. These will re-root your device everytime you reboot. So make sure you are aware of this.

  • Now Tap on the “Continue button” and it’s done.
  • Depending on your device and Android version, it will take a couple of minutes to unroot your device. After this, the SuperSu app will automatically force close.
  • Finally, Reboot your device and you’ll see your device is unrooted successfully.

For Kinguser or Superuser Root manager App users

Now if you have Kingroot or Kinguser or Superuser (all of them are similar) Root Manager app installed then the process is quite similar to SuperSu

  • First of all, open the Superuser or Kinguser app and locate the “Settings menu“. Depending upon the version of the app, it’s either going to be a gear icon on the upper right corner or it can be three dots or something similar.
  • Once located the settings, open it. Again depending on the version of the app the “uninstall root” or “remove root” option will either be in the list or it can be found inside the “Root authorization settings“.

  • Simply tap on Uninstall root or remove root option and read the disclaimer that pops up. Then hit “Continue button“. Usually unrooting through Kinguser app is a bit faster than SuperSu
  • After this process is completed, the app will close. Now simply reboot your device and that’s it, your device is now successfully unrooted.

What’s Next?

Now few of you might find the root manager app icon on your device even after the unrooting process is done. But by simply restarting your device again or by normally dragging and uninstalling the app icon will fix the issue. And in order to ensure that your device is truly unrooted, you can install and run the Root Checker app from Play Store.

If you have followed the instructions correctly and rebooted the device after unrooting, then the Root Checker app will display that your device is not rooted, as the following screenshot shows:
