After Nexus Devices got its Android 4.2.2 update, the next in line are Google Play edition devices. Three of them are getting the same treatment as we speak, including the HTC One, LG G Pad 8.3 and Samsung Galaxy S4 , with Sony Xperia Z Ultra likely to follow shortly.
As you may know, this version of Android includes a few bug fixes and small UI improvements. The 52MB-heavy download is worth installed nonetheless, even if you’re already happy with the current state of your smartphone — simply put, it’s a good practice to have the latest firmware whenever possible. You’ll get a slightly more stable experience in return, along with bragging rights that your phone/tablet runs the latest available version of Android… though that comes given with Nexus and Google Play edition devices. 😉
