And it’s a wrap in Mumbai! The Dell Technologies Forum 2019, Mumbai edition, signed off on a brilliant note, leaving the visitors inspired, as well as enticed. I surely did not miss this opportunity to maximize my understanding on emerging technologies; and to add a cherry on the top, I also took this opportunity to dig deep into the minds of the tech leaders who are laying the bricks for the path towards real transformation. The forum here, in the city of dreams, surely left me perplexed with the gamut of pioneering innovations brought in by Dell Technologies. Attending the sessions gave me a crystal clear perspective of how technology has and will further disrupt different industries, empowering them to thrive in the digital economy. Hearing it from the brilliant minds behind the amplificated deployment of technologies, such as AI, IoT, Analytics, 5G and more, was a remarkable experience.
The Dell Tech Forum, Mumbai edition witnessed an overwhelming response from all the tech enthusiasts who had come for the event. The assorted sessions, the leader’s viewpoints, the hands-on lab zone, the experts zone – everything together opened up an extensive vista of how we all can leverage emerging technologies to not just accelerate our own digital transformation journey, but also how we can partake in uplifting mankind and the environment.
What grabbed my attention at the forum was the elucidation of work and workforce of the future, and how Dell Technologies is fostering the change through groundbreaking innovations. The session on Dell client solutions, titled – Work at Full Speed by Sudhir Nair, West Business Lead, wonderfully exemplified how Dell Technology is at the helm of the technology revolution and is restructuring the way we work. He stated that every organization, today, needs to be a digital organization, powered by data, running in a multi-cloud world and how Dell Technologies is focused on delivering faster and smarter user experiences through cutting-edge technologies. Taking this focus further, Viveksakharam Sawardekar, Product Technologist, Dell, talked about workforce transformation, where he recounted that today’s workforce is looking for flexibility, efficiency and hassle-free collaboration, and organizations need to deliver these in order to thrive in the constantly changing digital environment. One statement that really stirred me was, “Workforce transformation happens because of people, not just technology” – a quote which reverberated amongst the audience.
A special mention was the Dell Technologies Unified Workspace, which is poised to revolutionize the way IT works, helping IT revamp end-user experience. It was fascinating to discover that this new solution will help IT admins to seamlessly assist end-users with device selection, deployment, security, management, and support regardless of OS, device and cloud environment.
Apart from the aforementioned, the other sessions comprised of multi-cloud solutions, IT and Application Transformation, Data Protection, Security Transformation and much more. All the sessions gave the attendees an overview of how Dell Technologies is configuring the building blocks towards the digital future. Along with the insightful sessions, the forum also had a social media desk that kept the visitors engaged through various activities. At large, being at the forum was an incredible experience, and I am now curious to know what’s next in Dell Technologies long-range plan.
