The Remix OS is based on Android-x86 project that we have been discussing from past 2 years. Now the Android-x86 has merged with Remix OS which not only brings the Android OS to your computer or laptops, but it also has made multi-tasking on Android OS better than it was before. The Android-x86 based installation was complicated and was not made for PC, it was ported. Whereas Remix OS is completely made for true Android experience on a PC. Though, it is not the OS which you can replace your desktop’s current OS with, but carry.
Remix OS brings the lovely Android experience to your computer system. It is based on the Android OS & is completely different from the already existing Emulators. So today in this guide we will show you how to install Remix OS based on Android Lollipop on Any Desktop PC or laptop running Windows.

can i use only this OS in my PC ?
i mean wipe all existing data OS first and than install this via bootable flash drive
Yes, you may do that.
Ok, when I do all the steps to install onto my external drive, it reboots but does not give me this option of which OS I want to use? Do I need to install this program on my C-drive? I do not have enough space, even if I delete many files as this program takes up 1 GB or more.
I have seen people say I need to partion my hard-drive and somehow have it boot that drive first, but I have no clue on how to do this and if it would even work?
You may install on your PC’s C-Drive and you don’t need to partition or format it but it’s recommended you use a USB 3.0 External Drive (Pen Drive/flash drive etc.).
