In this post, I will share the Gcam APK with Settings for Samsung Exynos devices such as S8, S8 Plus, S9, S9 Plus, S10, S10 Plus, Note 8, Note 9, and Note 10. This APK and settings file that I am sharing is exclusive and contains the best Gcam settings for Samsung Exynos Android devices.

UPDATE: Download Gcam 7.4 APK for Samsung Exynos with Astrophotography and Night Sight.
If you own a different Android device, follow this guide on How To Install GCam APK Without Root or Camera2 API on Any Android Device.

NOTE: The APK and settings work on Android 9 and above Samsung Exynos devices.

How to Install and Setup Gcam in Samsung Exynos S8, S9, S10 and Note Devices

Gcam installation on Samsung Exynos Android phones simple.

Step 1: Download the Exynos Gcam APK file with .XML configuration file. Extract them in download folder or at your desired location

NOTE: The Gcam APK and Config File works best with Samsung S10, S10 Plus, S20, S20 Plus, Note 9 and Note 10. For other devices, refer to below links.

Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+Exynos: GC_5.1.018_IDan1109
Samsung Galaxy S8Exynos: GCam_5.1.018 8.3b
Samsung Galaxy Note 8Exynos: Google Camera v8.3b Mod with HDR+

Step 2: Open My Files app in Samsung Exynos device and click on the extracted Gcam APK file

Step 3: As soon as you tap, this prompt will come up. Tap Settings and turn on ‘Allow from this source’ toggle switch and then tap on ‘Install

Step 5: After the Gcam APK installation, open the Gcam app. It’s most likely to crash when you try to access Night Sight or Portrait and other features.

That’s because you need to change the configuration settings to make it work. And that’s not easy. Fortunately, I have done this work on my end and so I have also uploaded the Configuration file. So now all you have to do is select and restore that file.

Step 6: Open My Files app again. Navigate to the internal storage of your device. Create a new folder and name it Gcam. Then open the Gcam folder and inside this, create a new folder. Name it Configs

Step 7: Now you need to move the config file (.xml) that you downloaded to this config folder. So go back to the folder where you extracted all the files and move the .xml file to internal Storage>Gcam>Configs folder

Step 9: Now open the Gcam app and double table on this blank area around the shutter button. Make sure this XML file is selected. Tap Restore

That’s it. That’s all you need to do.

Conclusion

And now, you can use almost all superb Gcam features including the amazing Night Sight.

You can also switch the aperture of the camera manually by tapping here. It displays 1.4 and 2.4 when aperture changes. Almost all modes work with the back camera but when you switch to front, Portrait and camera mode doesn’t work. However, you can record videos from Front camera using this Gcam app

And if you go to more, you can use Night Sight, again doesn’t work with the front but works great with the back camera. Slow Motion, PhotoSphere, and Google Lens also works very well.

So overall it works as intended and takes superb photos especially with the Night Sight. This configuration file I shared contains the best Gcam settings for Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+
