Windows 10 OS is getting ready to be launched by Microsoft Corporation soon. Microsoft will be challenging the way you think about the operating system. In its Ignite conference this week, Microsoft announced that windows 10 will be the last version of Windows. Microsoft is planning to run Windows more like a service and less like a traditional OS to keep Windows evolving with regular improvements and updates.

According to the company’s spokesperson Jerry Nixon,
“Customers can be confident Windows 10 will remain up-to-date and power a variety of devices from PCs to phones to Surface Hub to HoloLens and Xbox. We look forward to a long future of Windows innovations.”
“Right now we’re releasing Windows 10, and because Windows 10 is the last version of Windows, we’re all still working on it”
According to The Verge, it’s possible that there won’t be any major future Windows release in the conceivable future. The software company wants to release regular improvements and updates instead of any big release like Windows 10.
Windows 10 is split into different OS components. Which means, its built-in apps and Start Menu can be updated independently from the core OS. The new OS will completely change the way of watching videos and listening to music as Microsoft is making significant changes to its Media Center in Windows 10 OS.
From now onwards, start thinking of Windows OS that won’t see a big launch or major upgrade every few years like it used to. It’ll be more like updating your VLC media player which gets updated regularly with version numbers to which nobody pays attention. But can’t deny Microsoft could opt for Windows 11 or Windows 12 in future.
